The J-40S encoder is specifically designed for narrow space applications, featuring a robust 40 mm die-cast body. It supports shaft sizes up to 8 mm, with a shatter-proof polycarbonate disk, temperature- and aging-compensated LED, and surge-resistant ASIC circuitry.

Available with HV, OC, and TTL/RS422 outputs, operating on 5 to 26 VDC. Max frequency: 100 kHz (50 kHz for OC); recommended cable length: up to 30 meters (10 m for OC).

Three servo flange mounting options available. Protection class IP50 or IP54, temperature range up to 100 °C.
